A FEW YEARS LATER, IN 2014, RICKY SKAGGS MADE ONE OF PETERS’ BIGGEST DREAMS A REALITY, INVITING HIM TO PERFORM “BLUE MOON OF KENTUCKY” AT THE GRAND OLE OPRY. CARSON HAS MADE SEVERAL TRIPS BACK TO THE OPRY SINCE.MOST RECENTLY, IN 2021, PETERS WAS A CONTESTANT ON NBC’S “THE VOICE”, AND RECEIVED A COVETED 4-CHAIR-TURN WITH HIS RENDITION OF THE DON WILLIAMS CLASSIC, “TULSA TIME”. Larry Sparks is a dedicated leader for bluegrass music. Larry is among the most widely known and respected touring musicians in bluegrass and gospel music today. Larry began his career in the mid-1960s as a guitarist with the Stanley Brothers and later became lead vocalist for Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys. Larry went on to form his own band in 1969. (The Lonesome Ramblers) He has recorded and toured with his band for over four decades, releasing over 60 albums and delighting countless fans with his soulful vocals and unparalleled musicianship. the SBJ venue in Mt. Chris Davis is originally from Fairborn, Ohio and now makes his home in Russell, Kentucky. He has been playing bluegrass music, professionally, for over 25 years with many artists such as Larry Sparks, Alecia Nugent, Junior Sisk, Larry Cordle, The Grascals and currently with Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers. He has also played the Grand Ole Opry with country music's Diamond Rio while member Gene Johnson had recovered from heath issues. Celebrated family band Williamson Branch is marking their 10th anniversary as a touring group with a new single, their bluegrass cover of Allen Toussaint’s Southern Nights, which became a crossover hit for Glen Campbell in 1977.
The Branch is veteran bluegrass guitarist and singer Kevin Williamson, along with his wife, Debbie, on mandolin, with daughters Melody on fiddle, Kadence on bass, and Caroline on mandolin and fiddle.
