First time to the SBJ stage - Backline is a five piece band from Spartanburg, SC. The band came together in February of 2016. The band consists of Katelyn Ingardia-Guitar and Vocals, Travis Tucker- Dobro and Vocals, Milom Williams II-Mandolin and Vocals, Zachary Carter-Banjo and Vocals, and Jason Belue- Doghouse Bass and Vocals. Backline’s choice of music material is 80% original written by members of the band or by the band itself. They also perform traditional covers arranged to fit their personal style. Doors open at 5 pm, House Band starts the music at 6 pm. Great food, family friendly, 50/50 raffle, and that homemade pie makes SBJ a great venue for all! $20
The Borrowed Tyme Band was originally formed in 2015 and ran for approximately 3 years, culminating in a great self titled studio album released on the Bonfire Records label. The band took a break in 2018, but has reformed and are ready to hit the scene again!
The band is comprised of bluegrass veteran Roger Brown in his iconic spot on mandolin and vocals. Brad Jessmer rounds up the banjo section and expertly placed harmony vocals. Devon Johnson holds down the rhythm section and lead vocals on guitar. On bass, Chip Jackson keeps everything rolling.
